The sultry heat of Seville at dusk, the scent of orange flower and tobacco in the air, a ravishingly beautiful girl with dark curls tumbling down her back; a sense of expectation for what the night may bring.
The sizzling passion and racy heat of the Southern Spain of Georges Bizet’s Carmen provides the backdrop of inspiration for the Spring Summer 2015 collection from L’Agent by Agent Provocateur. The simmering Spanish heritage that is instilled in L’Agent co-designers Monica and Penelope Cruz also influenced L’Agent by Agent Provocateur’s brightest and sexiest collection to date.
This season L’Agent by Agent Provocateur gets racier than ever, with plenty of naughty signatures adding kick to the range. The Mariona, made from flattering sheer black mesh, boldly cut-out at all the right places, its geometric panels drawing attention to the hottest zones. The Saskiia is teasingly made with a sheer lace layer, whilst the Izarra is as sexy as shapewear gets, made from curve-contouring power mesh and creating the ultimate hourglass figure with the expertly-cut corselette. This season L’Agent has also placed a new emphasis on nightwear, with the flirtatious Edita French knicker and camisole providing a perfect sleeping set for hot tempestuous nights.
Spanish lace is famed the world over for its seductive qualities: all it takes is a quick flash to inspire deep desire. The Iana playsuit is a sensational showpiece made in decadent powder blue lace glimmering with gold lurex thread. The plunge style highlights a faintly glowing décolleté, while the back boldly states a fiery sense of sexuality with its cut-out bottom. The style is revisited later in the season with the Idalia playsuit in a hot-blooded dark magenta. The bewitching spirit of Carmen herself is evoked in the Carleta, a padded balcony bra with delicate scalloped edges, and the Felicitia turns up the heat in ultra-feminine fuchsia lace and lilac mesh.
Seville at Dusk
Torrid and simmering, the Andalucian dusk sets the tone for a range of day-to-night sets that are guaranteed to set pulses racing. The Lucila in black and violet is the perfect example, with its leopard-flock bodysuit looking just as racy with black jeans and heels as it does later that night in the bedroom. A peek of the high-apex geometric lace Esma from beneath a blouse is super-slinky dinner attire, while the Reya in the signature combination of pink and black colours gives a ravishing cleavage that’s just right for day and irresistible come sunset.
Like hot bursts of Southern Spanish passion, best-selling styles make a fiery bright return for Spring Summer 2015, raising temperatures and fanning flames. The favourite Penelope is given a pop this season in a coquettish bubblegum pink satin, and the sporty Fara is re-imagined in eye-opening lime green, its cleverly-placed zippers allowing tempting glimpses of the skin beneath. The popular Vanesa style, with its flattering lace and mesh slip and demi-bra re-emerges this season in ultra-violet, and the much adored Monica set including a super sweet babydoll comes back in juicy guava and watermelon shades. Even the sweet and innocent Broderie Anglaise cotton of the all new Alleta is given pow-wow with neon pink embroidery and ribbons.
